SUBSCRIBE TO THE LUTHERAN MAGAZINE
The Lutheran is the magazine of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). It is a relevant monthly publication with information about people, congregations, the ELCA as well as ecumenical and global concerns. The Lutheran always has articles about issues of faith and study guides connecting Biblical content and enlightenment with contemporary social issues. The July issue features an article entitled: The ELCA: Are we connected?
Some members of St. Paul’s have had subscriptions for years. The Stewardship Committee is promoting subscriptions to The Lutheran. (www.thelutheran.org )The individual subscription rate is $15.95, however, if ten people subscribe through the congregation, the rate is $11.75 per subscriber; if fifty people subscribe the rate becomes $ 7.95 each, less than the price of a movie for twelve issues.Watch for more information so you can take advantage of congregational rates. If you already subscribe individually, there is a way for you be part of the group rate plan. We hope to initiate this effort in September.
