Whitmore Scholarship Fund
On December 16, 1984, Ella S. Whitmore died, leaving a will dated January 15, 1981. Paragraph Thrid of that will gives an unrestricted gift of the residue of her estate to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Church then established the St. Paul's Scholarship Fund, initially funded with a substantial portion of that gift. The Scholarship Fund remains on of five special funds used for the continuation of our Mission at St. Paul's in Olney.
Purpose:
The purpose of the ella Whitmore Scholarship Fund is to grant scholarships to active members of the church who are persuing higher education.
If you would like to apply for an award from the Whitmore Scholarship Fund, we will send you a copy of the application by email. Just click the email link on the right and send a note to the church office. Or, stop in to the office, Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm and pick one up.
